Kelly Dee “Wimp” Givens, 57, of St. George, Kansas, died Monday, September 21, 2020, at the University of Kansas Health System – St. Francis in Topeka.
Kelly was born on January 8, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of William “Eddie” and Joy Stroupp Givens. He was raised in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He graduated from High School and attended college.
Kelly served overseas in the United States Army. He was very proud of his service to his country.
Kelly worked as a project superintendent for Walters Morgan Construction. His job took him to various locations in Kansas and Oklahoma. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and enjoyed being with his friends and family. Kelly also enjoyed gardening.
Kelly married Donna K. Storey on June 29, 2019, in St. George. She survives at their home.
He is also survived by many family, friends, and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kirby Givens.
Graveside funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 3, 2020, at St. George Cemetery. Kelly will lie-in-state, on Friday, October 2, 2020, beginning at 3:00 pm, at Campanella-Evans Mortuary in Wamego. The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. They suggest memorial contributions to Campanella-Evans Mortuary to help with funeral expenses, and those may be made in care of the mortuary.
