Stephanie Louise Bryan, 25, of Wabaunsee, Kansas, died Ash Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Wabaunsee County, Kansas, as a result of an automobile accident.
Stephanie was born September 2, 1992, in Onaga, Kansas, the daughter of Andrew W. and Sherrene L. Jackson Bryan. She attended St. Mary’s Academy and Manhattan High School.
Stephanie enjoyed helping the elderly and her family members. She enjoyed playing basketball and was always concerned about her siblings. She was a tom-boy and a fighter and met many life challenges with determination. She enjoyed music and dancing. Stephanie worked at Sonic and also the Maple Hill Truck Stop and Subway. She cleaned houses and cut hair. Stephanie was known as a loving and caring person.
Stephanie is survived by her mother and step-father, Sherrene and Matthew Harbstreit, Wabaunsee, her father, Andrew Bryan, Topeka; her children, Austin Lee, Angel “Gabriel” Miguel, Anthony Joseph, and Charlie James; siblings, Lawrence Anthony Bryan, Christina Marie Bryan, Maria Dolores Bryan and Michael Alexander Bryan; her grandparents Paul W. Bryan, Colleen S. Jackson, Chester and Janet Hicks, Steve and Elizabeth Harbstreit, her great-grandmother, Doris Harbstreit; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Virginia Mae Bryan and her grandfather Calvin E. Jackson Sr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wamego. Father Mike Peterson will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Wabaunsee Cemetery. Stephanie will lie-in-state, on Friday, beginning at 3:00 p.m. and family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Friday, at Campanella-Evans Mortuary. A Rosary prayer service with a time of remembrance will be held at 7:00 p.m. They suggest memorial contributions to Stephanie Bryan Memorial Fund and those may be sent in care of the mortuary, there is also a GoFundMe page set up to help with funeral expenses.
